How it’s worked out
ATED is a yearly charge, set by the home's value on 1 April 2022 (or when the company bought it, if later). For 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 it's £4,600 for a home worth £500,000 to £1 million, rising to £303,450 over £20 million. Homes let commercially, or held for development or sale, get relief, but only if the company claims it.
Worked example
Your company owes £9,450 in ATED for 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
